Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) has announced the latest product in its popular "Frame Arms Girl" mecha musume model kit series, the large-scale spin-off "GRANDE SCALE" line's "Durga I", slated for release in June 2026.

The prototype for the Frame Arms Girl "Durga" series originates from Kotobukiya's "Frame Arms" model kit series, specifically the eponymous base defense unit belonging to the lunar base faction. After being bishōjo-fied by illustrator Eiji Komatsu, it inherits the heavy armor characteristics of an "armored knight" and continues the voluptuous girl body style seen in Frame Arms Girl "Magatsuki," also designed by Eiji Komatsu. This combination with powerful heavy weaponry creates an even more appealing contrast.

The "GRAND SCALE Durga I" is redesigned based on the CAD model of the standard version's parts. Not only is its size enlarged from the original 15 cm to 25 cm tall, making the larger parts easier to paint, but new areas are also reproduced with molded part colors. The body's proportions are similar to common 1/6 scale doll products on the market. In addition to the original customization options with plastic models, the included long neck part allows for finding suitable fabric clothing for dress-up.

Even with its enlarged size, Durga I retains the cute design and voluptuous physique created by Eiji Komatsu. The body features flexible articulation thanks to designs such as pull-out chest and shoulder joints, sliding hip joints, and pull-out joints hidden within the thighs. The head allows for replacing the bangs with a cute, ribbon-tied style after removing the helmet. Furthermore, three pre-painted face parts—"normal face," "right eye closed smiling face," and "shouting face"—are included for replacement, showcasing Durga I's personality.

The overall weapon design is also identical, featuring a heavy, Western-style armor aesthetic. Some armor parts are made with clear red components, allowing the mechanical details sculpted within the armor to show through. The included decals can be used to reproduce the numerous golden reliefs on the armor's surface. The spear-type dedicated weapon "Hale-Rung" can be separated into two armaments: a short gun and a mace. Due to the enlarged size, the connection points have been changed from 3mm to 5mm in diameter, but 3mm adapter parts are also included, allowing for customization with Kotobukiya's M.S.G series and other model kit products.
