Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced its latest product from Vanillaware's fantasy strategy RPG "Unicorn Overlord," the "Yahna 1/7 Scale Figure," scheduled for release in February 2026.
"Unicorn Overlord" continues Vanillaware's exceptionally excellent 2D art design, building a fantasy world with stunning high-resolution illustrations and giving each character lively action performances. The story is set on the "Fevrith Continent," composed of five nations. Due to General Valmore of the Cornia Kingdom initiating a rebellion, the nations were quickly invaded by the New Zenoiran Empire. The protagonist, Alain, also became a fallen prince of a ruined kingdom in his youth. He diligently studied swordsmanship and military tactics, until at age 17, he took up the legendary "Ring of the Unicorn" and led the Liberation Army to save the world dominated by the Empire.
The popular character "Yahna," brought to life as a figure this time, is a witch living in a swamp village. When the Zenoiran army attacked the village, she transformed herself into a cat and successfully escaped, later becoming one of the Liberation Army's forces. Upon her first encounter with Alain and others, due to her youthful appearance, she was mistaken for the granddaughter of the former court sorceress "Yahna." In reality, she is "Yahna" herself, having used a secret rejuvenation art to restore her youthful appearance, though her actual age is 88.
The "Yahna 1/7 Scale Figure" is crafted at an approximate height of 25 cm, faithfully reproducing the pose from her in-game character illustration. Her youthful facial features with freckles and unique hairstyle are delicately sculpted. The witch's hat, cape, and entire fabric outfit feature irregular undulations and color applications, capturing the watercolor-style light and shadow variations from the original artwork. The witch's hat is magnetically attached and can be freely removed or worn.
Her slender physique, combined with black fabric and brass-colored metal accessories, exudes a mysterious and sexy aura. The abdomen is particularly delicately sculpted to show the subtle protrusions and lines of her ribs and abdominal muscles, reproducing the charm from the original artwork. The base is designed based on the swampy terrain of Yahna's hometown, strengthening the connection between the character and the work.
