MONDO, the renowned poster design and toy company, has launched a new product in its *Aliens* series: the "Mantis Alien Cherry Blossom Glow-in-the-Dark Variant." Priced at US$250 and limited to 300 pieces worldwide, it is now available for order on the MONDO Shop official website!
This Mantis Alien soft vinyl figure stands approximately 26.6 cm tall. It utilizes the same sculpt as the original version released in November 2025, which was designed by acclaimed toy designer James Groman, drawing inspiration from Kenner's past variant Mantis Alien toy series. The sculpt showcases intricate biological and muscular details, and its inner jaw features a retractable function. Its gaping maw and sharp claws are truly chilling!
The new Cherry Blossom Glow-in-the-Dark Variant features a pearlescent pink color scheme with gold and green accents, evoking the hues of cherry blossoms. This creates a striking contrast with the Mantis Alien's body horror aesthetic! Another major highlight of this release is that the figure itself is cast in glow-in-the-dark material. Under daylight, it presents a spring-like cherry blossom color, but when the lights are off, it transforms into a fluorescent green, reminiscent of a view through night vision goggles, exuding an overwhelming sense of dread!
This limited edition also comes equipped with a rocket launcher to combat the Alien, as well as a soft vinyl figure of the ill-fated Marine Corporal Hicks with reloadable missiles, and a facehugger. Corporal Hicks is presented as an unpainted glow-in-the-dark blank model, while the facehugger features a matching cherry blossom color scheme. Playing with them in the dark is like witnessing the Mantis Alien's brutal slaughter scene through night vision goggles!
