He's always elusive, a cute bespectacled boy who's hard to find! The renowned Korean collectible toy brand **BLITZWAY** is set to release a 1/12 scale articulated figure of **"Wally,"** the protagonist from the world-famous picture book series **《Where's Wally?》**, priced at 129,000 Korean Won.
Fans of puzzle storybooks will undoubtedly be familiar with Wally. "Where's Wally?" (previously known as "Looking for Wally" in Taiwan) is a series of children's books created by British illustrator Martin Handford. The author skillfully uses his exquisite artistry to depict bustling scenes filled with countless people, and the reader's task and goal is to find the protagonist, Wally. Wally's appearance is consistent: he wears glasses, jeans, and a hat and shirt with red and white horizontal stripes. He always carries a walking stick, occasionally accompanied by other everyday accessories. The author consistently uses various similarly patterned objects to confuse readers' eyes.
The "Where's Wally?" series was first published in the UK in 1987 and subsequently released in other countries. Although the title may vary in different regions, the core gameplay remains the same. In addition to Wally, many of his friends and related characters were later introduced into the illustrations for readers to find. To this day, new themed books continue to be published, maintaining significant popularity worldwide.
This 1/12 scale articulated Wally figure from BLITZWAY stands approximately 17.5 cm tall, perfectly recreating his iconic appearance: a standard red and white horizontally striped top paired with light blue denim trousers, glasses, and a hat, always sporting a confident and polite smile. The figure comes with a rich array of accessories, including four sets of interchangeable hands and many items Wally frequently uses, such as his walking stick, a teapot, a cup, swimming goggles, a large travel backpack, and a small shoulder bag. Additionally, a book-shaped display base is included.
