In June 2024, the Danish LEGO toy company not only brought us the dark and stunning "The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr" but also introduced the Dark Lord "Sauron" as a LEGO minifigure for the first time. If you're a LEGO minifigure collector but truly don't have space for the Dark Tower at home, there's now a new way to collect the Sauron minifigure! That is the "The Lord of the Rings: Sauron's Helmet", set to be released on March 1, 2026, with a suggested retail price of US$69.99.
This LEGO 3D rendition of Sauron's helmet consists of 538 pieces, and once assembled, it stands approximately 33 cm tall, making quite a statement. It uses a large number of grey pieces to form the helmet's silhouette and the striking pointed horns on both sides, while a rich array of flat pieces and brick textures are used to build the complex patterns of Sauron's mask. Coupled with a black display base featuring a nameplate, it looks incredibly imposing from any angle! Moreover, this LEGO set directly includes a Sauron minifigure, which can truly be described as "priceless," along with the gleaming One Ring. It's truly a must-have for collectors! We also look forward to future releases of helmets for characters like Gimli, Théoden, the Witch-king of Angmar, Ringwraiths, and more.
