BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has announced the latest product from the Gunpla 'SD Gundam BB Senshi' series, originating from 'Chou SD Sengokuden Bushin Kirahagane', the 'Tenrei Gundam Fukkokukiragane Ver.', scheduled for release in June 2026.
'Tenrei Gundam', whose prototype is Wing Gundam Zero, is a warrior who lost his memory. His appearance and demeanor resemble the protagonist of the previous work, 'Musha Godmaru', leading to rumors of reincarnation and time travel. In reality, he was Godmaru's disciple, killed by Jarei five years ago while protecting Godmaru. Godmaru, at the cost of his own life, implored Hagurato Gundam to revive him using celestial secret arts. Although Tenrei Gundam has lost his memory today, he still chooses the path of justice to subjugate the Hyakki Yakou-shu, fighting alongside Godmaru's soul.
The 'Tenrei Gundam Fukkokukiragane Ver.' utilizes modern new technology to reproduce the previously released kit. The main body part design is largely retained, and it can similarly recreate multiple forms through part swapping, gradually equipping from the basic 'Light Armor Form' to 'Musha Form' and 'Battle Form', and even recreating the 'Kijin Senkuzan Form' after using the Tendou Ougi.
The highlight of this product is the 'Kirahagane Form', transformed using divine artifacts. The Kirahagane manufacturing technique, 'IMD In-Mold Decoration Parts', which was once lost, has been revived in recent years. Richly colored and gorgeous patterns in red, blue, gold, etc., are printed onto transparent green injection-molded parts. The raised embossed areas feature high-precision colors and are treated with gradient coloring to achieve an even more brilliant texture. Furthermore, the golden wings on the back have been changed from the old version's yellowish-brown to bright gold molding.
