GOOD SMILE COMPANY, a Japanese figure manufacturer, has announced the latest product from its Q-version deformed character figure series "Nendoroid," the "Nendoroid More: Yukkuri!!!" from "Touhou Project," scheduled for release in June 2026.
"Yukkuri!!!" is the most famous fan-created character from the "Touhou Project" series. It originated in the early 2000s as ASCII art created by designer D. Takesaki on forums like 2ch, depicting "Touhou Project"'s two iconic characters, "Reimu Hakurei" and "Marisa Kirisame," as mysterious, round, bun-like creatures consisting only of heads. Later, illustrator MASO drew the complete image that is now widely recognized.
Later, during the golden age of Niconico Douga, numerous creators combined Yukkuri with AquesTalk voice synthesis software to produce a series of fan creations such as "Yukkuri Explanations" and "Yukkuri Let's Plays." Yukkuri could be seen in almost all explanation or gameplay videos for various films, TV shows, and video games, and many more Touhou and non-Touhou characters were drawn in the Yukkuri style, making it one of the most well-known memes in the Japanese online community at the time.
The "Nendoroid More: Yukkuri!!!" brings the original two characters, "Yukkuri Reimu" and "Yukkuri Marisa," to life as figures. Based on the Nendoroid standard, it perfectly recreates Yukkuri's somewhat cheeky yet adorable expression. Both heads are approximately 5 cm tall and come with a speech bubble plastic plate featuring the classic line "ゆっくりしていってね!!!" (Take it easy!!!) and a display stand, allowing you to recreate the classic left-and-right setup from explanation videos. Furthermore, the neck joint uses the same standard as regular Nendoroids, allowing them to be attached to the bodies of the separately sold "Nendoroid Reimu Hakurei" and "Nendoroid Marisa Kirisame."
