BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collector's toy division in Japan has officially announced the latest product from the movie "Shin Kamen Rider," the popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts," featuring "Spider Augment," scheduled for release in October 2026.
。
Spider Augment is a high-ranking member of the SHOCKER organization who pursued Takeshi Hongo and Ruriko Midorikawa at the beginning of the film. His prototype comes from the monster "Spider-Man" in the original "Kamen Rider." He is the first human-synthetic augment created by the SHOCKER organization, responsible for eliminating problematic individuals or traitors within the organization. He possesses a gentlemanly demeanor but strongly dislikes humans, relishing the feeling of slowly killing his prey. His abilities include not only greatly enhanced physical capabilities but also the ability to spit highly viscous and tough silk threads, manipulate mechanical spiderlings, and deploy four hidden arms, allowing him to flexibly evade attacks and calmly seek opportunities for counterattack.
The "S.H.Figuarts Spider Augment" is crafted with an articulated specification, standing approximately 14.5 cm tall. It meticulously recreates details such as the gas mask-like spider helmet, the protective vest with intricate patterns and numerous zipper designs, and the string of SHOCKER emblems on the left foot, using precise sculpting and painting. The differing textures of the costume's material on the forearms and the inner and outer thighs are also faithfully reproduced. In particular, the complex helmet design features precise color application and utilizes clear parts to recreate the eyes.
The entire body's parts are precisely segmented without compromising the sculpt, allowing for extremely flexible and dynamic battle poses seen in the film. It also includes interchangeable upper body parts to display the four hidden arms deployed, with each arm featuring articulated joints and interchangeable hand parts of the same specification. Accessories include 10 pairs of interchangeable sculpted hands, as well as "silk threads" and "bombs" to recreate his attack methods, and even a retro orange-red telephone to reproduce a humorous scene from the film.
