BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan has announced the latest additions to its original plastic model kit series, 『30 MINUTES FANTASY』, which features a fantasy world theme. The new products, "Iron Calamity Samurai" and "Class-Up Armor (Iron Calamity Shogun)", are scheduled for release in September 2026.
『30 MINUTES FANTASY』 is a new series centered around various fantasy world occupations. It inherits the core features of the 30 MINUTES series, such as easy assembly, simple structure, and infinite customization possibilities. This allows for the creation of highly articulated base bodies with human-like flexibility. By utilizing the 3mm expansion ports on various parts of the base body, different occupational exterior armor can be attached. As the product lineup expands, characters can progressively upgrade from beginner classes to advanced classes, continuously strengthening their roles much like a job change system in an RPG.
The "30MF Iron Calamity Samurai" utilizes the same highly articulated base body as the previously released "Knight" product. With multi-axis articulation mechanisms in the limbs, chest, waist, and neck, it can achieve natural and dynamic poses such as running, hero landings, high kneeling, and cross-legged sitting. The base body also features numerous common standard 3mm connection points and circular pegs for limb expansion. By attaching Japanese samurai-style armor and weapons like a katana, a striking appearance can be recreated.
Meanwhile, the "30MF Class-Up Armor (Iron Calamity Shogun)" can be used in conjunction with the Iron Calamity Samurai body. This kit includes class-up armor that adds a significant amount of golden decorative parts based on the Iron Calamity Samurai. For weaponry, it comes with one katana and one wakizashi. When equipped on the base body, it allows for the recreation of the advanced class, "Iron Calamity Shogun", utilizing a dual-wielding style.
