BANPRESTO, the prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, has launched an intense collaboration between its new series "FIGLIFE! (フィグライフ!)", which combines three-dimensional figures with daily life, and the powerful-sized "Grandista". The result is a creative product themed after the popular work "Baki": "Baki Grandista×FIGLIFE!! Yujiro Hanma -If You Want to Get Stronger, Hang It Up- (tentative translation)", scheduled for an incredibly wild release in Autumn 2026!
In Keisuke Itagaki's fighting-themed manga "Baki," the man known as the "Strongest Creature on Earth," Yujiro Hanma, is the father of the protagonist, Baki Hanma. He has forged terrifying muscles on battlefields around the world. His unfathomable and exaggerated combat feats include fighting armies bare-handed on the battlefield, defeating US special forces, tearing polar bears and African elephants apart with his bare hands, and swimming effortlessly in water flowing at 20 km/h, among others. He has truly reached a "god-like" realm.
This time, the "Baki Grandista×FIGLIFE!! Yujiro Hanma -If You Want to Get Stronger, Hang It Up-" is fully supervised by Sensei Keisuke Itagaki. It recreates one of the most famous scenes from the "Baki" series in the form of an exquisite... clothes hanger, faithfully reproducing Yujiro Hanma's menacing and exaggerated muscular physique. The size is nearly 50 cm! Who would have thought that Yujiro could use his powerful split-leg pose to hang clothes? If you buy multiple and hang them in a row, the mere thought is chilling! Don't miss this first collaboration between Grandista and Fig Life!
