Max Factory "Nishimura-style Drawing Doll OLIVE GRAY / FLESH" Achieves Complex Human Body Movements with Optimal Gear Ratio Structure!

A new generation of drawing dolls to unleash your creativity! Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY will launch a brand new series of products designed for figure drawing and character illustration: the "Nishimura-style Drawing Doll." The first wave features the "Nishimura-style Drawing Doll OLIVE GRAY/FLESH," with a suggested retail price of 9,900 JPY each, slated for release in September 2026!

"If there were an 'ideal drawing doll' that could naturally and freely pose in any way, wouldn't it be easier and clearer to draw character illustrations?" This product was born from developer Nishimura's vision.

The "Nishimura-style Drawing Doll," standing approximately 205mm tall, combines realistic, lifelike sculpting with a wide range of articulation. Its knees feature a double-jointed gear structure, which, through an "optimal gear ratio" linkage, allows the thigh and calf joints to bend at appropriate angles when the knee is flexed and extended (patent pending). The shoulders and trapezius muscles also incorporate a gear structure, enabling the complex movements of the human shoulder.

The thigh area uses soft parts to replicate the compression of the posterior thigh during flexion and extension. The hands utilize rotating axes at positions similar to human joints, and the hips incorporate springs to maintain a natural shape, allowing for even more realistic representation of various poses and forms. Coupled with the included articulated stand, a smartphone for recreating everyday scenes, a chair, and interchangeable hands, it enables anyone to achieve seamless and natural pose expressions.
