TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced the latest product from its 'Original SD Gundam World' model kit series, the 'Versal Knight Gundam' from 'SD Gundam Gaiden,' slated for release in August 2026.
After the Knight Gundam bravely defeated the vengeful spirit of Knight Sazabi by reforging the damaged Armor of Mist and Shield of Power into silver armor, King Revil of Lacroa bestowed upon him the highest title of 'Versal Knight,' thus becoming the Versal Knight Gundam. Wielding the Lacroa Kingdom's treasured 'Versal Sword' in his right arm and the massive 'Electromagnetic Lance' in his left, he gained even greater power, enabling him to fight in a unique dual-wielding style.
The 'Original SD Gundam World Versal Knight Gundam' revives this classic product in the modern era by utilizing the latest scanning technology to recreate the model kit originally released in the 1990s, with new molds. The molded colors for parts such as red, blue, white, and gold are identical to the original product's design, while the silver parts are produced using modern metallic molding colors, delivering a premium texture with metallic particles.
Furthermore, the product includes newly designed face parts that can be freely interchanged according to preference. Both face parts come with a choice of eye stickers, featuring either pupils or no pupils. Once assembled, the model stands approximately 8 cm tall, and all articulation and weapon mechanisms faithfully reproduce those of the original product, including the movable twin wings on the back, the golden Versal Sword, and the transformation mechanism of the Electromagnetic Lance into trident mode.
