Ditto Takes Over Tokyo Metro's Hanzomon Line! Limited-Time Station & Train Car Makeover Celebrates "Pokemon Pokopia" Launch

Get ready to chill out! The latest sandbox-style, slow-life game in the Pokémon series, "Pokemon Pokopia," is dropping on March 5th, promising players a super relaxed and therapeutic new experience.

To celebrate the launch of "Pokemon Pokopia," Tokyo Metro announced today (March 2nd) a special, limited-time advertising campaign featuring none other than Ditto! Starting March 2, 2026, Ditto will be staging a full-scale "invasion" of the entire Hanzomon Line, transforming stations and train cars into its very own purple paradise.

So, why Ditto? This isn't just a random pairing; there's a clever connection!

For starters, Ditto's iconic purple hue perfectly matches the Hanzomon Line's signature color. But wait, there's more! The Japanese name for Ditto, "Metamon" (メタモン), shares the "mon" sound with "Hanzomon" (半蔵門線). It's a linguistic match made in heaven! Add in Ditto's signature transformation ability, and you've got the perfect recipe for an immersive experience where the entire station and train cars are brimming with Ditto's shape-shifting charm.

▼ The official "Hanzomon Line" (Hanzomon-mon Line) special design has also been revealed.

This marks the Hanzomon Line's very first "full-wrap train advertisement," with two entire trains getting the Ditto treatment. Inside the cars, you'll be greeted by "Ditto transformed into human form," a character appearing in "Pokemon Pokopia." Passengers can catch glimpses of various quirky Pokémon characters going about their daily lives within the game, essentially peeking into the game world while on their commute.

These exclusive ad-wrapped trains will run for a limited time from March 2 to March 15, 2026. They operate on an irregular schedule, so it's all up to luck if you manage to hop aboard a Ditto train!

During the campaign period (March 2 to March 8, 2026), Ditto will also be making appearances at these three stations:

Oshiage (Skytree-mae) Station, Hanzomon Station, and Shibuya Station. From the platforms to the concourse hallways, "Ditto in transformation" could pop up in any corner. Turn your commute into a mini-adventure by keeping an eye out for these fun Easter eggs!

If you're visiting Tokyo during this period, make sure to ride the Hanzomon Line and keep your eyes peeled for Ditto! You won't want to miss out on this unique and playful experience!
