TAKARA TOMY's toy brand T-ARTS will release a very interesting Japanese pun gashapon in mid-March this year: 'Oshi x Sushi Osushi' (推し×スシ 推スシ)! The suggested retail price is 300 Japanese Yen per capsule, with five types to collect.
In Japanese, 'Oshi' (推し) is pronounced Oshi, and when combined with Sushi, it becomes Osushi (推スシ), which sounds very natural! The 'Osushi' gashapon, which combines these two concepts, features five anthropomorphic sushi figures, approximately 3-4 cm in size, born for 'Oshikatsu' (推し活 - fan activities). These include Tuna, Shrimp, Tamagoyaki (egg omelet), Salmon, and Cucumber Roll sushi. In addition to cute little hands growing out of their rice bodies, their designs also incorporate individual fans and glow sticks representing their 'Oshi's' color, making them truly adorable when displayed!
If you, fellow toy collectors, also have acrylic stands or photo cards of your idols, you can also include these Osushi figures in your display, as if these little sushi are cheering for the same idol alongside you, creating a fun and passionate Oshikatsu world.
