Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON capsule toy division is scheduled to release the Ultraman-themed "Ultraman Soft Vinyl Series Miniature Swing Mascot" (ウルトラソフビシリーズ ミニチュアスイングマスコット) capsule toys in the first week of March 2026! The suggested retail price is 400 Japanese Yen per turn, with a total of six styles available for collection.
Based on my personal collecting experience, if you are a toy enthusiast who loves monsters, regardless of whether you've watched the Ultraman live-action series or films, you've almost certainly purchased one of Bandai's Ultraman Soft Vinyl series toys. This series, whether featuring Ultraman characters or monsters, boasts excellent sculpting and simple articulation, includes a wide array of characters, and is very affordably priced! In addition to being extremely popular among adult collectors, it is also a popular gift choice for many parents to give to their children.
Now, GASHAPON is recreating the Ultraman Soft Vinyl series in a palm-sized 5.5 cm format, complete with a ball chain strap so you can attach it to your bag and carry it with you anywhere. The tag cards, which would usually be put away, can now be displayed alongside them! The main focus this time is on the Giants of Light from various generations, including the original Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Tiga (Multi Type), Ultraman Z Original, and the latest Ultraman Omega; additionally, the classic antagonist, Alien Baltan, the Space Ninja, is also included! Even though we know they're just miniature versions, we can't resist!
