TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product in its "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS" series, which combines metallic texture paintwork and an alloy frame. This new item, the "Tallgeese" from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," is scheduled for release in August 2026.
In the lore of "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," the OZ-00MS Tallgeese is the prototype for all combat-use Mobile Suits, developed by the five doctors who created the Gundams. It boasts formidable heavy armor, immense thrust, and extremely high firepower. However, due to the technological limitations of the time, mass production was impossible, and the high G-forces generated by its performance could be fatal to pilots. Development was halted after only one prototype and spare parts were completed, shifting focus to the smaller, easier-to-produce standard model "Leo." It wasn't until 20 years later, with the emergence of five high-performance Gundam-type Mobile Suits, that OZ restarted this project.
The "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Tallgeese" is crafted at a height of approximately 14 cm. Its main internal frame is constructed from alloy parts with an electroplated finish, providing both a luxurious feel and a substantial weight. The mobile suit's sophisticated and cool design and proportions are faithfully recreated based on the anime settings, enhanced with various matte and metallic texture paint applications and original body markings, conveying the heavy and realistic presence of a mobile weapon.
In addition to the high-strength, firm joints provided by the alloy frame, the model also features articulation designs that expand its range of motion and showcase the mobile suit's unique characteristics. These include neck armor that articulates in conjunction with head movement, a design that prevents interference between the back and waist armor when the torso leans back, and a pull-out mechanism for the ankle joints to expand their range of motion. The distinctive backpack and rear skirt armor, which house internal thrusters, can fully deploy without needing to swap parts. Furthermore, an original mechanism allows both side skirt armors to deploy simultaneously.
The head also features a removable face part mechanism, revealing the internal Leo-style "TV face." For weaponry, it includes two "Beam Sabers" that can be fitted with beam effects, a "Shield" that can store beam saber hilts internally, and the main weapon of immense power, the "Dober Gun," which features a telescopic barrel design. This can be combined with dedicated interchangeable hands to recreate dynamic shooting scenes.
