Following the broadcast of last year's NHK Taiga drama "Daredevil ~Tsutaju's Story of Fleeting Prosperity~", topics related to Ukiyo-e have once again become a hot discussion. The protagonist of the drama, Tsutaya Jūzaburō, was not only the most influential publisher of literary and visual art works during Japan's Edo period but also fostered several Ukiyo-e masters, including Katsushika Hokusai. "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji", created by Katsushika Hokusai in his later years and already considered a masterpiece of Ukiyo-e, has gained even greater popularity and is now being combined with a Gundam model product.
The base Gunpla kit for this release is the "ENTRY GRADE 1/144 Strike Gundam", launched in 2021. The kit features easy assembly, precise color separation, and flexible articulation. Its gate design means no nippers are required, as parts can be easily snapped off by hand, making the assembly process simpler and safer. With a total of only 79 parts and precise color separation, including molded colors such as red, yellow, white, blue, green, and dark gray, the kit largely reproduces the in-anime appearance and colors without the need for stickers.

Unlike the regular version, this product features a special Ukiyo-e style box art and decals, adapted from "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" from the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. Not only does it depict the Strike Gundam standing amidst maple trees on a reef battered by giant waves, but special decals featuring giant wave patterns and Kanji characters can also be applied to the shoulder armor and shield. The box art also showcases a Mount Fuji-shaped LOGO paying homage to the "Tsutaya" trademark, brimming with rich Japanese-style elements.
