Japan's high-quality collectible statue brand Prime 1 Studio has officially announced the latest product from the anime "BLACK★★ROCK SHOOTER DAWN FALL", the "ULTIMATE PREMIUM MASTERLINE Empress 1/4 Scale Statue", slated for release in October 2027. This product will be simultaneously available in a Regular Edition and a DX Edition with more luxurious accessories.
"BLACK★★ROCK SHOOTER DAWN FALL", which aired in April 2022, is a completely new anime series based on the "BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER" characters drawn by Japanese illustrator huke, overturning previous derivative settings. The story describes how in A.D. 2062, humanity's large-scale labor automation project completely failed, and the core artificial intelligence of the project, "Artemis," declared war on humanity, turning Earth into a desolate wasteland. One day, a powerful, amnesiac girl known as "Empress" awakens from an underground research facility. Her mission is to swiftly destroy the orbital elevator connecting Earth and the Moon, prevent the mechanical army's invasion, and become humanity's last hope.
The statue is crafted in an impressive size, approximately 68 cm tall, depicting Empress in a dynamic and cool firing pose after deploying her "Coilgun." The Empress's main body features a design that deviates from the anime's more vibrant costume colors, instead adopting huke's illustration-style design. Her jet-black attire is sculpted with realistic fabric and leather textures, creating a striking contrast with her fair skin and showcasing her slender, elegant muscular lines. Her highly dynamic hair parts are made from transparent material, with the tips subtly rendered in transparent purple to recreate the brushstrokes seen in huke's illustrations.
Transparent parts are also extensively used to depict the blue flames around her left eye and body, as well as the "Empress Overdrive Lightning Mode" wings generated on her back after using the "Accelerator Key." The extremely large "Coilgun" in her right hand also meticulously showcases its intricate mechanical structures, with the muzzle painted to simulate a blue glow. The base features numerous cubes with concentric circle patterns and powerful azure flame effects, adding to the dynamism of the scene.
With the built-in LED lighting mechanism, multiple blue lights can be illuminated, including Empress's eyes, the interior of the Coilgun, and the azure flames on the base, creating a more immersive display. The DX Edition further includes an interchangeable left hand holding a pistol, allowing Empress to fight alongside her beloved weapon, as well as a pale purple moon part installed at the rear of the base, symbolizing the threat posed by the artificial intelligence "Artemis."
