Bandai's GASHAPON division, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, is releasing a new themed product—the "Pokémon First Partner Acrylic Swing" gashapon. With a suggested retail price of 300 JPY per capsule, it is expected to launch in the second week of March 2026!
Since the release of Pokémon Red/Green in 1996, players have been able to choose one of three starter Pokémon—Grass, Fire, or Water types—known as the "starter trio" (御三家), to begin their adventure. This tradition has continued throughout the Pokémon game and anime series, with each generation introducing a new set of Grass, Fire, and Water type starters from different regions.
This "Pokémon First Partner Acrylic Swing" gashapon features the nine starter trios from the currently released nine regions: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea, printed as approximately 4.6 cm acrylic charms, grouped by region. Each charm showcases the three first partners from its respective region. The vibrant compositions perfectly capture the charm of the starter Pokémon.
