T-ARTS "Thomas & Friends: Took a Big Tumble" Gashapon, Featuring the Fat Controller Tumbling Head Over Heels and Classic Derailment Scenes Brought to Life in 3D!

T-ARTS, a toy brand under Japan's TAKARA TOMY Company, will release a new product based on "Thomas & Friends" – the "Thomas & Friends: Took a Big Tumble" gashapon series. The suggested retail price is 400 JPY per capsule, with an anticipated release in April 2026!

"Thomas & Friends" is a British children's television series that premiered in 1984, adapted from "The Railway Series" books published by the Awdry father and son between 1945 and 2011. Initially animated using low-cost 1:32 scale physical models, it tells the adventure stories of anthropomorphic trains on the fictional island of Sodor.

Now, Thomas and his friends have also joined T-ARTS' "Took a Big Tumble" (Sutten Kororin Figure) gashapon series! This "Thomas & Friends: Took a Big Tumble" series offers four character models based on the classic versions from the early physical model filming. In addition to an original figure of the tumbling Fat Controller, it also includes Percy, who in Season 2, Episode 11, ignored a danger sign, crashed through the dock's barrier, and fell directly into the sea; James, who in Season 1, Episode 7, derailed uncontrollably due to his wooden brake blocks overheating and catching fire; and Thomas, who in Season 1, Episode 26, due to his love of joking, didn't notice the ground collapsing and ended up falling into a giant hole. Perfectly combining the series' "Took a Big Tumble" characteristic with scenes from the show, the adorable proportions paired with classic train expressions make them incredibly fun no matter how you display them. Toy collectors who love Thomas & Friends definitely shouldn't miss out!
