BANDAI SPIRITS Company's collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, under its PROPLICA series, known for high-quality reproductions of various anime props, has officially unveiled a new product based on the classic anime "Magical Angel Creamy Mami" (魔法の天使クリィミーマミ) – the "Transformation Magic Wand" (まほうのステッキ). It has a suggested retail price of 16,500 JPY and is scheduled for release in November 2026!
"Magical Angel Creamy Mami" is a shojo anime series produced by Studio Pierrot in 1983, and it was Studio Pierrot's first magical girl series. The story follows elementary school student Yu Morisawa who, after a chance encounter, gains magical powers, allowing her to transform into the 16-year-old beautiful girl "Creamy Mami" (クリィミーマミ), even breaking into the entertainment industry to become a popular singer.
This Transformation Magic Wand faithfully recreates the in-show design in a 1:1 scale, with its dimensions precisely calculated by analyzing the design drafts preserved at Studio Pierrot and the character proportions in various scenes. The wand itself is approximately 47 cm long, reproducing the simple yet cute design from the series. To further align with the magic wand's design in the work, a touch sensor has been adopted, allowing for special functions while maintaining the exact same external structure as the original!
The magic wand features an internal motor; pressing a button illuminates and rotates the yellow heart at the top, recreating the classic rotating heart mechanism from the transformation scenes! The sound component specially includes lines recorded by Takako Ohta, who voices Yu Morisawa, extracted from the anime's audio, along with in-show BGM and sound effects, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of the work immersively through sound and light! Furthermore, a dedicated display stand is included. If the power remains on after play, a special voice for sleep mode will play after a period of time – incredibly thoughtful!
