World-renowned Hong Kong toy brand Hot Toys has officially unveiled a new product based on "Kamen Rider V3" – the "Riderman" 1/6th scale collectible figure. The suggested retail price is HKD 1,590, with an estimated release in Q1-Q2 2027!
Riderman, who appeared in "Kamen Rider V3" which premiered in 1973, is transformed by Joji Yuki. Originally a scientist for Destron, his exceptional talent led to him being framed by General Armor, resulting in his right arm being corroded by strong acid. Surviving, he was determined to seek revenge on General Armor, so he donned a reinforced suit and transformed into the 4th Rider, known as Riderman, "the masked avenger." It was only after being influenced by V3 that he decided to let go of his hatred and fight for peace.
This 1/6th scale Riderman collectible figure stands approximately 30 cm tall. The sculpt faithfully recreates the facial features of Joji Yuki, portrayed by Akira Yamaguchi, and the classic helmet design. The silver, red, and green inverted triangle pattern on the blue helmet, along with the battle suit crafted from composite materials, precisely reproduce the retro styling and vibrant colors of the Showa-era color television. Furthermore, the helmet features a magnetic LED light-up function, allowing a magnet to trigger the crimson glow of revenge and justice intertwined, reflected in the compound eyes!
The accessories include multiple sets of interchangeable hands, among which is a handshake hand part for V3, allowing for display with the previously released V3 to recreate classic scenes! The biggest highlight this time is the recreation of Riderman's modified arm system, which boasts combat power comparable to a cyborg. It comes with three interchangeable arms: the "Power Arm" capable of crushing armor, the "Drill Arm" for drilling through obstacles, and the versatile "Rope Arm." The Rope Arm can also be flexibly equipped with a hook, scythe, and meteor hammer, and combined with the wire-embedded rope and 30 points of articulation throughout the body, it can reproduce various combat poses!
