Japanese figure manufacturer Max Factory's action figure brand figma has revealed on the GOOD SMILE COMPANY Planning Department blog account the unpainted prototypes under supervision for their upcoming new products based on the popular anime "New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt"—the "Panty" and "Stocking" action figures!
"Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt" tells the daily story of the angel sisters Panty and Stocking, who were kicked out of Heaven for their misconduct. They exterminate ghosts, which are materialized human desires, causing chaos in Daten City, located between Heaven and Hell, to collect Heaven Coins to return to Heaven. The new work, "New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt," set to be released in 2025, continues the suspense from the previous work's ending, depicting the events after a brainwashed Stocking attacks Panty. From the currently revealed supervised prototypes, it's clear they are based on the transformed designs in the American cartoon style, perfectly bringing the anime's geometric lines to life in three dimensions. The figures will also include multiple interchangeable hands and expressions, as well as their most important dedicated weapons. Further details will be announced later, it's incredibly exciting!
