BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Bandai Co., Ltd. in Japan, has announced the latest 10th installment of its popular candy toy series, "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME FA." The product, "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME FA 10," is scheduled for release in August 2026.
"Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME FA" offers articulated Gundam models featuring realistic proportions and intricate sculpting. By collecting both the "Articulated Frame Set" and "Armor Set," they can be assembled into a Gundam model approximately 10 cm tall. The FA (Full Armor) version, an evolution from its predecessor, improves the rear of the arms and thighs with full armor coverage. The armor connection structure behind the knees has been removed, eliminating the need for forced holes in the rear calf armor to accommodate connection pegs. The chest armor is also less prone to detachment compared to previous versions, and the waist joint's ease of assembly and disassembly has been enhanced.
The featured mobile suit for the tenth installment is the "V2 Assault Buster Gundam," piloted by protagonist Usso Evin in the latter half of Mobile Suit V Gundam. Its parts are divided into three types for collection: "V2 Assault Gundam Armor Set," "V2 Assault Gundam Articulated Frame Set," and "V2 Buster Parts Set." It features gold paint to replicate the anti-beam coating and includes high-firepower and high-defense armaments such as a Beam Rifle, Twin Grenade Launcher, Mega Beam Rifle, Mega Beam Shield, the Mega Beam Cannon mounted on the Buster Parts backpack, and various Micro Missile Pods.
The second mobile suit is the "Re-GZ Custom" from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack MSV. It meticulously recreates the cool, Gundam-like head and the Back Weapon System (BWS) integrated with the backpack. Amuro Ray's personal emblem from the design sketches is also reproduced on the left shoulder. Armaments include a Beam Assault Rifle and a Shield. The Beam Cannons on the BWS not only replicate their colors through part separation but can also be deployed forward.
Finally, from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, is the "Guncannon," a V Project mobile suit operated by the Earth Federation Forces. It is a modified version based on the one previously included in "G-FRAME 06." Not only have the connection parts been replaced with the current common standard, but many areas such as the arms, thighs, and back also feature newly sculpted parts with different designs. In terms of armaments, in addition to the two cannons on its back, it also includes a Beam Rifle, Missile Launcher, and a giant rock to recreate its iconic throwing attack from the original series.
