GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan has announced the latest product in its popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand different items: the "Nendoroid Gyro Zeppeli DX" articulated figure, based on the anime "Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure." The suggested retail price is 8,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in September 2026!
Gyro Zeppeli (ジャイロ・ツェペリ), a main character from "Steel Ball Run," the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki's "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" series, comes from a family of executioners in the Kingdom of Naples, inheriting a noble status and substantial income. By the age of 13, he had mastered the "Steel Ball" rotation technique and participated in executions. However, due to a wrongful conviction, Gyro decided to enter the "STEEL BALL RUN (SBR)" race, a six-thousand-kilometer ultra-long-distance horse race across the North American continent, to win the championship for his country and secure a royal pardon.
The "Nendoroid Gyro Zeppeli" articulated figure, with its Q-version proportions and compact size of approximately 10 cm, faithfully recreates the long-haired Gyro's blonde hair, blue eyes, and stylish cowboy attire. Details such as the steel balls on his clothing and his distinctive belt buckle are meticulously rendered through paintwork. It comes with three interchangeable face plates: a "cool face," a "hee hee hee face" revealing his golden teeth, and a "combat face." Combined with accessories like the "Steel Ball," "Steel Ball effect parts," and "binoculars," fans can recreate various scenes from the series!
The DX version includes his beloved horse, "Valkyrie," a super cute miniature horse designed for Nendoroids to ride! You can race with characters released later in the series – the DX version is definitely a must-have!
