KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese model manufacturer, in collaboration with illustrator Morikura En, has announced the latest product in their everyday-life bishojo plastic model kit series, 'Sousai Shojo Teien': 'Rui Saotome [Momozakura High School - Competition Swimsuit] Dreaming Style White Dolphin,' slated for release in September 2026.
Rui Saotome is a princely girl with a splendid appearance and demeanor, captivating both males and females. She is straightforward, consistent, and observant. While possessing excellent athletic abilities, she dislikes studying and kissing scenes in movies. Although Rui appears boyish, she also loves collecting small and cute things. After meeting the petite and adorable Ema Koishikawa, Rui was drawn to her pursuit of dreams and often visits Ema with her childhood friend and fated rival, Seira Ichijo.
'Rui Saotome [Momozakura High School - Competition Swimsuit] Dreaming Style White Dolphin' is based on the standard edition kit with modified molding colors. The hair parts have been replaced with the same golden blonde as Ritsuka Saeki, and the skin tone has been changed to a fairer 'Skin Color C,' allowing for body swaps with other characters in the series that share the same skin tone. The swimsuit, conversely, is predominantly white, with black and blue sections featuring complete part separation and color molding, and a smooth, glossy finish to represent light reflection on the fabric.
Accessories include four pre-painted face parts: 'Smiling Face,' 'Playful Face,' 'Focused Face,' and 'Injured Face,' along with blank face parts for custom expressions and water-slide decals, though the pupil color has been adjusted to be closer to green. Additionally, 9 pairs of interchangeable hand parts, 3 pairs of foot parts, front hair parts with goggles, and lower body parts for a seated pose are included, allowing for a wide variety of poses and scenes. Furthermore, for the exposed back part, there are two options: one without an opening for aesthetic emphasis, and one with a 3mm opening compatible with display stands. The neck joint part also includes specifications compatible with 'Megami Device' heads.
