Japanese toy company Kotobukiya (コトブキヤ) has announced its latest product based on the popular video game "Mega Man" for its new "OSHI WORKS" series, which focuses on affordable and easy-to-collect items! This article introduces the "OSHI WORKS Dr. Wily & Dr. Light," with a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY, scheduled for release in November 2026. Additionally, "Mega Man" and "Roll" are also available for pre-order simultaneously!
The highly popular "Mega Man" series from Japanese video game developer CAPCOM was originally created by Akira Kitamura (A.K.), with Keiji Inafune, Tokuro Fujiwara, Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, and others taking over after "Mega Man 2." The most classic original Mega Man debuted in 1987, with a storyline set in a near-future filled with artificial intelligence and robot technology, depicting the conflict between two authorities in highly intelligent humanoid robots—Dr. Light and Dr. Wily—due to their vastly different ideals and ambitions; the justice-loving Mega Man repeatedly steps forward to thwart Dr. Wily's evil schemes.
For fans who love rival pairings, the "OSHI WORKS Dr. Wily & Dr. Light" non-scale figures are here! The official release finally brings these two arch-rivals together in a highly anticipated set! With cute proportions and a substantial feel, the figures capture the iconic features of both doctors, such as Dr. Wily's wild hairstyle and Dr. Light's plump physique. The detailed paintwork further brings out the characters' charm to the fullest! Magnets are embedded in the soles of their feet, allowing them to be securely attached to the display base, enhancing the fun of collecting when displayed alongside other characters from the same series~
