SEGA Prize, the prize brand of Japanese game company SEGA, announced in its "2026 New Product Flash Report" on its official X account that its popular "Luminasta" series will release a new product based on the popular anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End – "Frieren in Mimic PLUS," scheduled to be released as a prize item in autumn 2026!
In the series, when the hero Himmel and his party recall their various journey experiences, they mention that Frieren is always tricked by mimics (ミミック). This setting has continued throughout Frieren's subsequent solo journey and her travels with Fern. This "Frieren in Mimic PLUS" will be an upgrade based on the "Frieren in Mimic" released in 2024, which also drew inspiration from this charming concept. It similarly sculpts and recreates the iconic scene where Frieren's head is bitten by the mimic, with detailed paintwork showcasing the mimic's weathered exterior, yellowed teeth, and internal mouth details. This PLUS version will also add the mimic's disgusting large tongue, with delicate airbrushing to capture the tongue's shadows, allowing for an even more vivid recreation of Frieren being bitten and shouting, "It's so dark!! It's so scary!!"!
