SEGA Prize, the prize brand of Japanese game company SEGA, announced on its official X account in the "2026 New Product Flash Report" that its XrossLink series, which focuses on displaying characters side-by-side with intertwined dynamics, will release a new product based on "Evangelion: The End of Evangelion" – the "EVA Unit-02"!
Released in 1997, the "Neon Genesis Evangelion Theatrical Feature" series is the official movie remake of the highly controversial final two episodes of the TV series. First, in March, the compilation film "Death(true)2" (or "Death and Rebirth") covering the first 24 TV episodes was released. "The End of Evangelion," based on episodes 25 and 26, then premiered in July, followed by the combined version of the first two films, "DEATH(TRUE)2/The End of Evangelion," in March of the following year.
From the currently released product images, it can be seen that this EVA Unit-02 is crafted based on the famous scene from "The End of Evangelion" where it battles the Mass Production Evas dispatched by SEELE. It depicts Unit-02 in a crouching combat stance, wielding the Mass Production Eva's oversized double-bladed shield-sword. The sculpting faithfully recreates the organic mechanical details and the color palette of the old theatrical version. It can be displayed together with the simultaneously announced "XrossLink Mass Production Eva" to recreate the powerful scene of Unit-02 fiercely fighting the Mass Production Evas!
