In a 2026 new product announcement released on its official X account, SEGA Prize, a division of Japanese game company SEGA, revealed a new addition to its popular Luminasta prize figure series: Mio Akiyama from the beloved anime K-ON!
K-ON! (けいおん! K-ON!), a representative work by Houbunsha, is a four-panel manga series by Japanese manga artist kakifly, which was adapted into a TV anime by Kyoto Animation in 2009. Mio Akiyama is the bassist and lead vocalist of "After-School Tea Time." Her cool yet sweet demeanor has attracted a large fanbase, making her the only member of the Light Music Club with an official fan club.
From the currently released product images, we can see that Mio is depicted in her Sakuragaoka High School uniform, seated on a white teacup with spilled tea. The sculpt exquisitely captures the flowing movement of her long black hair, and details such as her slightly plump thighs and the wrinkles in her uniform are meticulously reproduced. Coupled with the shy smile printed on her face, the figure perfectly recreates the adorable atmosphere from the series! She can also be displayed alongside the previously released Yui, Azunyan, and the concurrently revealed Ritsu and Tsumugi, allowing you to enjoy afternoon tea time with all the members of the Light Music Club!
