In the "2026 New Product Express Report" announced on the official X account of Japanese game company SEGA's SEGA Prize brand, in addition to the EVA Unit-02, another new product from its XrossLink series was simultaneously revealed. This series focuses on displaying characters side-by-side with intertwined dynamics, and the new item is themed after "Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion" — the "EVA Mass Production Evangelion"!
In "The End of Evangelion," a 1997 remake based on TV episodes 25 and 26, Misato, after learning the truth about the Human Instrumentality Project, placed Asuka into EVA Unit-02 and hid her in an underground lake for refuge, but she was forced out by the Self-Defense Force's depth charges. After destroying numerous Self-Defense Force weapons, SEELE deployed nine EVA Mass Production Evangelions to confront Unit-02, and ultimately, Unit-02 was impaled through the head by a Lance of Longinus replica and then devoured by the Mass Production Evangelions.
From the currently released product images, it can be seen that this Mass Production Evangelion is crafted based on a famous scene from the film, depicting the Mass Production Evangelion leaping with its oversized double-bladed shield-sword, ready to strike. The entire figure is supported by a clear stand, creating a dynamic airborne pose, with sculpting that faithfully reproduces the Mass Production Evangelion's more organic body shape and muscular lines, among other details. It can be displayed alongside the simultaneously revealed XrossLink Unit-02, to recreate the powerful battle scene against Unit-02 from the film!
