American toy giant Sideshow Collectibles recently announced a new product from DC Comics, the "Killer Croc" full-body statue, under its "Premium Format Figure" product series! It is expected to ship from November 2026 to February 2027, with a suggested retail price of 850 USD.
"Killer Croc" is one of Batman's classic villains. He first appeared in Detective Comics #523 in 1983. Killer Croc's real name is Waylon Jones. Due to "atavism" caused by genetic mutation, his body became like that of a crocodile, covered in tough scales, even growing sharp teeth and fangs, and possessing formidable strength; however, in most DC comic and animated settings, Killer Croc's intelligence is not high.
The "Premium Format Figure Killer Croc" is sculpted in an imposing 57 cm height! In addition to capturing Killer Croc's ferocious roaring pose, the scales covering his entire body, his muscular physique, the moist texture inside his mouth, and the gradient colors on his body surface are all incredibly detailed. The handcuffs and orange prison pants on Killer Croc's body convey the narrative that no cage can hold him, depicting his escape from Arkham Asylum. Looking closely at the base, you can find Bane's broken mask. Turning to the back, you can also see a Gotham City sewer nameplate. Inside, there's not only a crocodile carving, but the numbers 1983 and #523 on it are precisely the date of Killer Croc's comic debut. It's an amazing Easter egg!
