From the Hong Kong toy brand threezero's robot alloy movable finished product series "ROBO-DOU", the latest product from the anime "Patlabor", the "Type 98 Special Command Vehicle", has been announced for release in Q4 2026.
Produced by Yotsubishi Motors, the "Type 98 Special Command Vehicle" is one of the all-terrain armored vehicles utilized by Special Vehicles Section 2 in the series. It boasts 80PS of horsepower, a top speed of 145km/h, and is equipped with searchlights, loudspeakers, winches, and various communication and electronic devices for command. Although the cramped cockpit is quite tight even for a single occupant, it can handle all the intelligence gathering, command communication, and mobility requirements needed at a mission site. In the series, it is primarily driven by AV-98 Ingram commanders such as Yuuma Shinohara.
The "ROBO-DOU Type 98 Special Command Vehicle" is produced in the same 1/35 scale as the Ingram, recreating rich details such as the vehicle body armor, large tires, headlights, license plates, and top searchlight within its approximately 10 cm overall length. It also features metal communication antennas and an alloy chassis. When the side doors are opened, cockpit details like the steering wheel and gear shift lever can be seen, and the included figures of Yuuma Shinohara and Takeo Kumagami can be placed inside. Furthermore, the roof's police lights and searchlights can be illuminated by the built-in LED light-up mechanism, and the front and rear license plates and vehicle numbers are interchangeable with two versions.
The accessories also include parts that can be linked with the "ROBO-DOU Ingram Unit 1" and "ROBO-DOU Ingram Unit 2 + Unit 3", such as the left and right head antennas for Unit 1 in TV anime colors, left and right head antennas for Unit 2, Unit 2's face mask, and two shields, which can be selected and replaced with the Ingram main body.
