BANDAI HOBBY, the plastic model brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., is set to release its latest product, the "HG 1/144 Alyzeus," from the animated film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash - Witch of Kirke" on April 25, 2026. The official channels have also preemptively released information such as box art and actual product images before its launch.
The TX-ff104 Alyzeus was an emergency training unit built for Lane Aim to practice high-speed flight before the official deployment of the "RX-104FF Penelope." This machine uses the "RX‑94 Mass Production Type ν Gundam" as its core, with its exterior equipped with prototype parts used for testing during the Penelope's development. 20 parallel thrusters are arranged throughout the body to compensate for the Minovsky Flight Unit, which was not yet complete at the time. Although it uses an older "plasma jet engine propulsion system" that does not utilize I-field technology, its parallel operation still allows it to achieve high-speed flight capabilities comparable to the Penelope.
The "HG 1/144 Alyzeus" recreates this super-large mobile suit with entirely new molded parts. Once assembled, the kit stands at a colossal 25 cm tall, even larger than the Ξ Gundam. It utilizes highly detailed, gray-toned molded parts to create its monstrous exterior armor, the sensor missile pods arranged throughout, and the 20 parallel thrusters. The distinctive annular "plasma reactor" is made with clear parts. Thanks to transformation mechanisms in various parts of the body, the intricately shaped Alyzeus can transform into a flight form that reduces air resistance.
After detaching the entire unit's heavy flight armor, the complete core unit, the "Mass Production Type ν Gundam," can be recreated. The kit uses a rich variety of molded part colors, including white, black, green, and yellow, to reproduce the various colors of the fuselage. However, several parts, such as the chest air intakes, numerous smaller yellow areas across the body, and the dark blue parts of the prototype beam rifle, still require color correction with stickers. Using dedicated connection parts and some Alyzeus components, the Mass Production Type ν Gundam can be re-equipped to form the "Alyzeus Half-Damaged State," which resembles the "RX-93 ν Gundam" in silhouette and triggered Hathaway's PTSD in the story.
