Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company's assembly model brand BANDAI HOBBY is set to release its latest product from the animated film "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition," the "30MP Shikinami Asuka Langley (Plugsuit Ver.)," on April 25, 2026. The official channels have also preemptively released information such as the box art and actual product images before the item's release.
"30 MINUTES PREFERENCE" leverages the various experiences and technologies cultivated under the 30 MINUTES LABEL to acquire diverse external IPs and work licenses, launching assembly model products of numerous popular characters, allowing players to create their beloved figures. The character released this time is Shikinami Asuka Langley, one of the heroines from "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition." She is a genius girl from Germany, who became an ace pilot for the European Air Force at just 14 years old, and is the pilot of EVA Unit-02.
The "30MP Shikinami Asuka Langley (Plugsuit Ver.)" utilizes a rich variety of molded color parts with different gloss finishes, including red, orange, green, blue, and black, to recreate Asuka's slender figure, the various colors and smooth texture of her plugsuit, and her characteristic twin-tailed long hair. Thanks to flexible joints and movable segmented designs, it achieves both overall aesthetic integrity and an excellent range of articulation. It comes with 5 pairs of expressive hands to pose her in various ways, and also includes interchangeable lower body parts specifically for sitting poses.
The facial expressions feature an interchangeable design. Accessories include two pre-painted expression parts: "serious face" and "smiling face." Additionally, water-slide decals with a variety of expressions and unprinted blank face parts are included for customizing desired expressions. Furthermore, the accessories also include a human-sized "Spear of Cassius," which can be displayed and played with alongside the Spear of Longinus included with the previous "Rei Ayanami" release.
