Chinese toy manufacturer GONG has officially revealed a new collaboration with POPMART: a "Neon Genesis Evangelion" themed "Test Type-01" Diecast Action Figure. Priced at 399 RMB, the figure is slated for release on April 30, 2026!
This Test Type-01 Diecast Action Figure stands approximately 16.5 cm tall. Designed with smooth articulation as its core focus, it meticulously recreates the original anime's colors and details, including the EVA-01's muscular body curves and intricate panel lines. The iconic purple and green color scheme is faithfully reproduced, and the figure incorporates diecast parts for stable posing in various dynamic stances. Furthermore, the green sections of the armor feature fluorescent paint, ensuring a striking presence even in the dark!
Accessories include six pairs of interchangeable hands, a Progressive Knife, a Gatling Gun, a Pallet Rifle, an AT Field effect part, and a launchpad-themed display base. Also included are an Entry Plug that can be inserted into the main body and an Umbilical Cable, allowing collectors to fully recreate various iconic scenes from the series with the figure's flexible articulation.
