The annual "Detective Conan" movie has been a staple for fans, and this year's 29th installment, "Detective Conan: The Fallen Angel of the Highway," which premiered in Japan on April 10, is already proving to be another box office smash.
On May 7, officials announced that as of May 6, its 27th day in theaters, the film had already drawn over 7.4 million viewers and raked in a whopping 10.88 billion yen at the box office. This monumental success means that following "Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine," "Detective Conan: 1 Million Dollar Pentagram," and "The Left-Eyed Afterimage," the "Detective Conan" film series has now achieved an unprecedented feat: "four consecutive films grossing over 10 billion yen," setting a brand new record in Japanese live-action and animated film history.

The "Detective Conan" movie continued its annual Golden Week box office dominance, with officials announcing it crossed the 10 billion yen mark on May 4. Coincidentally, that day also happens to be Conan and Shinichi Kudo's birthday!
What's even wilder is that just one year after setting a new Japanese film history record, the series has now outdone itself, personally smashing its own achievement with four consecutive films hitting over 10 billion yen – a truly unprecedented milestone!

In the celebratory illustration unveiled by Gosho Aoyama, alongside Conan, we see the film's core character Chihaya Hagiwara, plus key figures Kenji Hagiwara and Jinpei Matsuda.
Plus, officials announced that starting May 8, moviegoers will receive a second round of special perks: in addition to the original "Theater-Exclusive Digital Illustration," they'll also get a "Gosho Aoyama-Drawn 10 Billion Yen Breakthrough Commemorative Illustration," complete with their viewing date and name printed on it – talk about a collector's item!

The newly released theme song PV, featuring MISIA's track "Last Dance With You" (ラストダンスあなたと), is packed with tons of never-before-seen footage. MISIA commented on the song, saying, "This is a story about Chihaya Hagiwara, known as the 'Goddess of Wind.' When I was creating it, I really tried to understand her unspoken emotions and the depths of her heart."
