Good Smile Arts Shanghai, the Shanghai-based division of Good Smile Company, has officially announced a new 1/7 scale figure from the hit anime series "My Dress-Up Darling": the "Marin Kitagawa: Halloween Ver."! The figure is priced at 19,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in May 2027.
Marin Kitagawa is the female protagonist of the romance manga "My Dress-Up Darling," created by Shinichi Fukuda. A classmate of the main character, Wakana Gojo, Marin is a cheerful and popular "gyaru" who is secretly a passionate otaku with a deep love for anime and games. She believes that cosplay is the "ultimate expression of love" for a character. After discovering Gojo's exceptional sewing skills, she asks him to help create her cosplay costumes, sparking a budding romance between the two once-distant classmates.
The GSAS "Marin Kitagawa: Halloween Ver." 1/7 scale figure captures Marin in a stunning Halloween dress, standing approximately 25cm tall. The sculpt meticulously recreates her sparkling eyes and a charming, gyaru-style winking smile. Her rosy cheeks and special Halloween makeup radiate an irresistible appeal! The figure's costume is packed with exquisite detail, featuring paintwork that masterfully conveys the different textures of the glossy fabric, intricate folds, ribbons, lace, and stockings, adding incredible depth to the piece. The pose, which beautifully accentuates her body lines, makes this figure a true showstopper. As a bonus, the hat is removable, allowing you to display her in two different styles!
