BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, is set to release a new S.H.Figuarts action figure based on the popular anime "Higashijima Tansaburo Wants to Be Kamen Rider." The latest addition to the line is the "S.H.Figuarts Tansaburo Higashijima" action figure, priced at 11,000 JPY and slated for a December 2026 release!
Created by Japanese manga artist Yushin Shibata, the manga "Higashijima Tansaburo Wants to Be Kamen Rider" is a collaborative effort between Ishimori Productions and Toei. As the title suggests, Tansaburo Higashijima, who has loved the tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider" since childhood, dedicated himself daily to rigorous training, vowing to become a hero of justice and defeat the evil Shocker Combatmen. He developed formidable strength, capable of fending off a bear with his bare hands, but by now, he's a mature 40-year-old man... Just as Higashijima sells off his entire collection, ready to abandon his dream, a series of fake Shocker incidents begin to plague society. Tansaburo Higashijima dons the Kamen Rider mask... and an adult's Kamen Rider role-playing game begins!
The "S.H.Figuarts Tansaburo Higashijima" action figure stands approximately 14.5 cm tall, faithfully recreating Tansaburo's robust physique hidden beneath his denim shirt, with sleeves rolled up to reveal his muscular arms. While a Kamen Rider mask is included, the head sculpt itself is also incredibly detailed! Swappable bang parts allow for displaying him wearing the mask, and his passionate crying expression beneath the mask is truly epic. Combined with various interchangeable hand parts and S.H.Figuarts' renowned articulation, fans can enjoy recreating the mature man's romantic battles! The S.H.Figuarts Shocker Combatman is also being re-released simultaneously.
