Japanese manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY is expanding its affordable pre-painted figure brand, POP UP PARADE, with a new L size release in the BEACH QUEENS series, known for its swimsuit beauties. The latest addition is the "Shikinami Asuka Langley (Bikini Style) Ver. L size" pre-painted figure from the "Rebuild of Evangelion" series. Priced at 8,800 JPY, the figure is scheduled for release in January 2027!
Asuka appears in the "Rebuild of Evangelion" series under the name Shikinami Asuka Langley, serving the anti-NERV organization WILLE, led by Misato Katsuragi, and continuing her role as the pilot of Evangelion Unit-02. In "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time", it was revealed that she, like Rei Ayanami, is a created "Eligible One".
This "Shikinami Asuka Langley (Bikini Style) Ver. L size" pre-painted figure stands approximately 22.5 cm tall, featuring Asuka in a vibrant red bikini, capturing a perfect summer outing look. The sculpt faithfully recreates her flowing hair and exquisitely showcases her slender, elongated physique. The subtle muscle definition in her arms and abdomen is meticulously rendered. Her fair skin, achieved through molded color and paint application, boasts a delicate, almost translucent quality. This creates a striking contrast with the saturated red bikini, exuding a full summer vibe! Additionally, she can be displayed alongside the concurrently announced "Rei Ayanami (One-Piece Swimsuit Style) Ver. L size" to recreate a scene of the two enjoying themselves at the beach!
