TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of BANDAI SPIRITS, has officially announced the latest addition to its 6-inch action figure line, "GUNDAM UNIVERSE," designed for "Mobile Suit Gundam" fans worldwide. The new "Wing Gundam Zero (EW)" from the OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz" is slated for an October 2026 release.
The XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero (EW), designed by mechanical designer Hajime Katoki, serves as the successor mobile suit piloted by protagonist Heero Yuy in the OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz." Its role is equivalent to the Wing Gundam Zero from the original TV anime series. The EW version features significantly revised styling and a distinct color scheme compared to its TV counterpart. Most notably, its back wings have been redesigned into iconic, organic-looking white feathered wings. These not only greatly enhance the suit's mobility but can also envelop the fuselage to form its "Neo-Bird Mode." Its primary weapon remains the familiar "Twin Buster Rifle," capable of obliterating an entire space colony with a single maximum-output shot.
The "GUNDAM UNIVERSE Wing Gundam Zero (EW)" is engineered with the "UNIVERSAL REACTION FRAME," a new articulation frame fully revamped since 2025. This significantly boosts its range of motion compared to previous entries in the series, allowing collectors to achieve more dynamic and powerful battle poses. Both the exterior armor sculpt and the articulation splits have been almost entirely redesigned when compared to the 2020 release, resulting in a visually more elegant and slender physique. Armaments included are the Twin Buster Rifle and two Beam Sabers, enabling the recreation of iconic poses such as wielding dual rifles for sweeping attacks, and the maximum output firing stance with the rifles combined.
