Bandai Spirits' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, known for its classic die-cast toy series "Chogokin," has announced the upcoming release of the "CHOGOKIN ROBO Premium Gold Edition." This new item will first be available for early purchase at ACGHK on July 24, with a wider release planned for both domestic and international markets afterward.
The "CHOGOKIN ROBO" was originally developed by TAMASHII NATIONS in 2024 to commemorate the "Chogokin" brand's 50th anniversary. Leveraging decades of expertise in transforming toy development, the team ingeniously designed the iconic "Chogokin" brand logo to transform into a sophisticated robot. The figure boasts an impressive 95% die-cast alloy construction. Furthermore, the back of the Chogokin logo features the emblem of "Poppy," TAMASHII NATIONS' predecessor company, symbolizing the "Chogokin" brand's enduring legacy spanning half a century.
The newly announced "CHOGOKIN ROBO Premium Gold Edition" is an updated version of the previously released model. It meticulously retains the intricate transformation mechanism from brand logo to robot form while receiving a complete overhaul in its color scheme. In addition to electroplated black iron, silver, and gold finishes on the die-cast alloy parts, this premium edition replaces all the original yellow painted sections with a rich gold, delivering an even more luxurious and substantial feel.
