Hong Kong's renowned toy manufacturer, Hot Toys, has just revealed its latest masterpiece from the iconic Tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider Kuuga": the "Kamen Rider Kuuga" 1/6th scale collectible figure! Pricing and release dates are expected to be announced soon.
Kamen Rider Kuuga is the ancient warrior form taken by Yuusuke Godai, a young man possessing 2000 skills. The police refer to him as "Unidentified Life Form No. 4" as he tirelessly battles the Gurongi, an ancient race who find pleasure in murder. Kuuga can transform into various forms to counter different enemies, including the white Growing Form, red Mighty Form, blue Pegasus Form, green Dragon Form, and purple Titan Form. Furthermore, all forms except Growing can evolve into the gold-accented Rising Forms, as well as the black and gold Amazing Mighty Form and the ultimate Ultimate Form. Interestingly, these complex form names were primarily created outside the show for toy differentiation; the characters within the series, unable to read ancient texts, simply referred to the forms by their colors, such as "red" or "blue."
The "Kamen Rider Kuuga 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure" captures Godai's resolute "Mighty Form" after he commits to becoming a warrior. It also allows for a "super transformation" into the advanced "Rising Mighty Form" through interchangeable parts. The "Mighty Form" features a black elastic fabric undersuit, complemented by metallic red armor and subtle gold accents. Ancient inscriptions are intricately sculpted onto the armor, while the power-providing gems on the limbs are crafted from clear parts. The compound eyes and belt boast the series' signature light-up function. With multiple points of articulation and five pairs of interchangeable hands, collectors can recreate various classic poses, including the iconic Rider Kick, thanks to an included clear foot effect part.
Achieve the "super transformation" into "Rising Mighty Form" by swapping out the chest, shoulder, arm, hand, and right leg armor, as well as the belt! This set also includes a special effect part for the "Rising Mighty Kick," famously dubbed the "nuclear kick" by fans after its appearance in TV Episode 30, perfectly replicating its devastating power! Additional accessories include the petrified ancient "Arcle" belt and a dedicated display stand!
