Kamen Rider Stronger
At Black Satan's Devil Mountain Base, Shigeru Jo willingly joined the evil organization and underwent modification to become an Electric Human. However, during his initiation ceremony, Shigeru suddenly rebelled, kicking off his passionate battle against evil. With his unique rhinoceros beetle-inspired design, Stronger is equipped with a high-performance power generation device within his body, allowing him to freely utilize various electric attacks and even recharge his energy using lightning.
After the collapse of Black Satan, to combat the even more powerful modified monsters of the Delza Army, Dr. Masaki, a former Black Satan scientist, used his super-electron research to perform a re-modification surgery on Shigeru Jo's body. Despite a dangerous 90% failure rate, Shigeru finally achieved his upgraded form. The "Charge Up" enhanced Stronger gains a one-minute power boost, enabling him to unleash even more advanced special moves. This upgraded form first appeared in Episode 31.
Sculpted from the ground up, starting with the skeletal structure, this S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou figure accurately captures Kamen Rider Stronger's distinctive features: the mask with its massive Kabuto Shock horns and large Big Eye compound eyes, and his inverted-triangle, muscular physique clad in the upper body protective armor, the Kabutector. The intricate wrinkles of his full-body suit and the texture of the Kabutector's surface are meticulously reproduced, showcasing the quality of each part.
The scarf, including the part that wraps around his neck, features a new design entirely recreated with real fabric, aiming for a natural appearance true to the show. The dangling fabric portion of the scarf contains a metal wire, allowing for dynamic poses such as recreating it fluttering in the wind.
Parts of the Kabutector protective armor covering his upper body are made from soft materials. The Kabutector is divided into three sections—chest, shoulders, and abdomen—each connected by ball joints, enabling free movement in all directions. The apron section also uses soft materials to ensure a wide range of motion for the hip joints. This allows for iconic poses, including the kneeling stance when unleashing his signature Electro Fire attack.
In addition to essential interchangeable hand parts like his self-introduction pose and hand chop, the figure includes hands specifically designed to recreate his electricity-based skills, such as "Anti-Magnetic Ray" and "Reverse Fan." These meticulously capture scenes where Stronger activates his electric moves, highlighting his unique personality.
The set also includes unique hand parts for the classic Showa Rider "hands-on-hips" pose, perfect for recreating heroic standing stances. Furthermore, impressive "pointing" hand parts, another staple of Showa Riders, are included, significantly expanding the range of scenes that can be recreated from the series.
Standing approximately 145mm tall, accessories include 7 pairs of interchangeable hands. While the accessory count isn't extensive, the playability is still decent. Shinkocchou Seihou figures typically boast excellent articulation. The joints have a good balance of tightness, allowing for stable single-leg poses. Combined with the main body's superb articulated joint design, you can achieve dynamic and cool battle poses! The Quality Control, coloring, and paint application are excellent (a rare treat!). Of course, its biggest selling point is its impeccable sculpt and appearance.
The Shinkocchou Seihou line truly delivers an unblemished aesthetic! This is definitely a fantastic product.
