Danish toy brand LEGO has officially unveiled its latest addition to the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series: the "77119 Tails' Tornado-1" set. This new release is scheduled to launch on August 1, 2026, with a suggested retail price of $29.99 and includes 310 pieces.
"Tails," whose full name is Miles Prower, is one of the most beloved companion characters in the Sonic series. This two-tailed fox is renowned for his exceptional mechanical genius and his ability to fly by spinning his twin tails. The "Tornado" is his signature biplane, which he built himself. First appearing in "Sonic the Hedgehog 2," it has accompanied Tails and Sonic in numerous adventures, becoming one of the most iconic vehicles in the franchise. The plane received a striking yellow and red redesign in "Sonic Frontiers."
This new set draws inspiration from the "Sonic Frontiers" version of the Tornado, faithfully recreating its iconic yellow and red color scheme and biplane design. The plane's wings can be deployed and retracted, and a launcher is included for interactive play. The set comes with a Tails minifigure and an Egg Chaser Badnik, allowing fans to recreate thrilling aerial chases as Tails pursues Dr. Eggman's robots.
Also releasing in the same series is "77120 Shadow the Hedgehog's Mech & G.U.N. Commander" ($49.99, 374 pieces), which will also launch on August 1, 2026. Collecting both sets completes the Sonic lineup for a full summer of adventure.
