Nick Apostolides, the voice actor behind Leon S. Kennedy in "Resident Evil," recently spilled the beans on his secret to getting into character: music. He revealed how bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Metallica helped him craft Leon's mindset across different eras.

"I actually draw a lot of deep inspiration from music when I'm performing, to get into the right headspace," he shared. While recording for "Resident Evil 2," he admitted he "didn't overthink it too much" but constantly listened to Nirvana. He felt the band's "grunge and rock energy was a perfect fit for a younger Leon."

By the time "Resident Evil 4" rolled around, Alice in Chains became a "huge" source of inspiration. He specifically called out tracks like "Them Bones," "Would?," and the album "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here." For an older Leon in "Resident Evil Requiem," he turned to 80s thrash legends Metallica.
"That super heavy, fast, and unified rhythm kind of thing. I used a lot of that feeling in the song 'Orion.' It's my favorite song of all time, and it was constantly in my head. That riff is just incredibly heavy, and there's so much story behind why and how they created that song—I just love it," Apostolides explained.
