Japanese model brand AOSHIMA has announced the latest addition to its "KemoPla" (Kemo Plastic) series: the "No.KP-04R Omaneko" posable figure. Pre-orders are now open, with an expected release in December 2026 for 6,160 JPY (tax included).
The "Omaneko" character serves as the official mascot for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) Omaezaki Sub-Base in Omaezaki, Shizuoka Prefecture. This military-themed kemono (anthropomorphic animal) character has garnered significant attention for his distinctive design, featuring blunt bangs, heterochromatic eyes, a fluffy chest ruff, and a unique bifurcated tail. Notably, official sources confirm Omaneko is "male," making him one of the most talked-about JASDF mascots in recent years.
The "KemoPla" line is AOSHIMA's brand for kemono-themed posable figures. Each kit features multi-color molding and a snap-fit design that requires no glue for assembly. They also incorporate the "KemoFling System" for enhanced leg articulation. This standard release includes a fabric digital camouflage apron, 3 expression parts, and 7 hand parts.
A "No.SP-10R Omaneko Official Website Limited Edition" (9,460 JPY) from the same series is also available for pre-order simultaneously.
