BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, has officially revealed a new prize figure: the "Shiro Glow-in-the-Dark Silicone Figure," based on the latest theatrical film "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Kiki Kaikai! Ora no Yokai Vacation"! This figure brings to life Shiro's adorable transformation into a "Yokai Marshmallow" from the movie. Crafted from soft silicone, the plump marshmallow section also features a glow-in-the-dark effect. It's slated to appear in Japanese arcades sequentially starting July 23, 2026.
"Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Kiki Kaikai! Ora no Yokai Vacation" is primarily set in Akita, Hiroshi's (Shin-chan's father) hometown. The Nohara family, initially returning for a vacation, accidentally stumbles into the forbidden Land of Yokai while en route to the "Yokai Vacation Village." Beyond Shin-chan's transformation into a Tengu, Hiroshi, Misae, Himawari, and Shiro will also appear in various peculiar Yokai forms.
This new Shiro silicone figure depicts Shiro's body enveloped within a large, light blue marshmallow, with only his signature white face, ears, and a somewhat bewildered expression peeking out. A wooden stick extends from the back of the marshmallow, making it look as if Shiro has truly been transformed into a giant Yokai marshmallow skewer. Its round, irregularly undulating shape also gives it the appearance of a fluffy cloud.
The marshmallow section can absorb light from the sun or fluorescent lamps, then emit an eerie, Yokai-esque green glow when moved to a dark environment. Coupled with its soft silicone material, it even offers a squishy, marshmallow-like tactile sensation. The figure measures approximately 16 cm tall and 21 cm deep, showcasing a distinctly different and amusing appearance whether displayed during the day or admired in the dark.
