The new adaptation of "Carrie" stars Summer H. Howell as Carrie White, Samantha Sloyan as her mother Margaret, Amber Midthunder as the gym teacher, and Matthew Lillard as the principal. This version of "Carrie" is said to hew closely to Stephen King's original novel by incorporating its epistolary style. The series will feature external investigative perspectives, including emergency calls from the night of the prom massacre, witness testimonies, police reports, and scientific studies attempting to explain Carrie's telekinetic abilities.
Additionally, beginning with the second episode, each installment will open with a short story. These vignettes will focus on different women from various eras and locations who also possess telekinetic powers, exploring how they came to understand and accept their abilities, mirroring Carrie's own journey.
