Veteran star Samuel L. Jackson debuted the crime-action comedy "Just Play Dead" late last month, and he is already returning to theaters in October with another modestly budgeted action movie. Aura Entertainment has now released the official trailer for "The Beast."
Directed by "Die Hard 2" and "Cutthroat Island" filmmaker Renny Harlin, "The Beast" was written by "Kate" screenwriter Umair Aleem. The film opens in theaters Oct. 9.

The official synopsis follows: When unidentified hostile forces coordinate a coup against the United States, the president is forced behind the wheel of his armored limousine. He must unleash The Beast’s highly classified offensive capabilities to save his wounded Secret Service agent, reunite with his wife and save the world. Jackson stars as the president, while Joel Kinnaman plays the Secret Service agent under his protection. The cast also includes Eoin Macken and Guy Burnet.
